Rock. Photo. Tree.

On a recent hike through the Galapagos Islands, my husband and I came upon this dynamic duo. Two forms of the fruits of the earth (lava rocks and tree) thriving side by side. Their stillness and complement to one another struck me as poetic and thus a photo was born. Like the childhood game of rock. paper. scissors. I'm not sure which, if any are the winning hand here in this circle of life game: rock. photo. or tree.
